Backend Engineer (Java / Spring)

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop microservices and distributed systems using Java 21+ and Spring Boot.
• Implement REST and GraphQL APIs with Spring WebFlux for reactive endpoints.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Kafka for data persistence and streaming.
• Write comprehensive tests (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers).
• Contribute to system architecture, code reviews, and mentoring.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 4+ years of backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Understanding of observability (logging, metrics, tracing) with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Reporting Structure

Reports to the Engineering Manager and collaborates with the Platform and SRE teams.

Working Conditions
