Core Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform fibre optic installations, including cable routing, splicing, and connector assembly.
Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to verify network integrity.
Troubleshoot and repair existing fibre links and ensure minimal downtime.
Strictly follow safety and quality standards during field operations.
Maintain up-to-date installation logs, splicing records, and test results.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or certification in ICT, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering.
At least 2 years of hands-on fibre splicing, termination, and field maintenance experience.
Proficiency with OTDRs, splicing machines, and related fibre tools.
Strong troubleshooting and technical reporting skills.
Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel between project sites.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Field Operations Supervisor and works closely with the Network Implementation and Quality Assurance teams.

Working Conditions:

This is a field-based role requiring frequent travel and outdoor work. The position may involve extended hours to complete urgent installations or maintenance tasks.
